As design director of Tiffany & Co., John Loring has written numerous books on the renowned jewelry company’s history and collections. His 21st, Tiffany Style: 170 Years of Design (Harry N. Abrams, Inc., $50), arrives this month. The 304-page book takes a jeweler’s loupe to upper-class America’s changing tastes as seen through the lens of Tiffany’s history, from its 1837 founding as a “stationery and fancy goods” emporium, through the art nouveau and deco eras, to Elsa Peretti’s organic forms in the 1970s, Super Bowl trophies and beyond. Design fans can learn more when Loring himself makes a Dallas appearance Nov. 11, as part of the F!D luxe/Fashionistas lecture series. Tickets, $50, benefit The Fashionistas and can be ordered at tiffanyonsale
